COMMUNITY NOTICES
Dear HHR Friends,
Thanks so much for all your expressions of sympathy for Tom. It will
be so comforting to come back to such special people. Thanks again,
Jan Bell
Thank you to Jane Harrison who purchased a “clean-dirty” magnet for
the dishwasher in our clubhouse kitchen. Now when we start a load of
dirty cups and glasses we can turn the magnet to “clean” so that
people will know the load has been washed. Then after the clean
items are put away we can turn it to “dirty” so people will know
they can put more dirty dishes into the dishwasher. That was very
thoughtful of you Jane. Thanks!
SINGLE FRIENDS' OUTING
Tues., May 20th -10:30am
Imagine yourself sitting at an outdoor cafe in Paris-
then that's the experience you'll have at Magpie's Restaurant on
Main St., St. Charles (large fans cool you off if you're hot &
heaters will warm you if its cold). After lunch we'll have time to
explore the shops on Main St. The sign up sheet will be in the
Clubhouse and the bus will leave at 10:30 am. For questions, call
Pat at 561-1959.
Trips by bus could cost each person about $2.50 ex. Art Museum. A
full bus load of 12 will lower the new bus usage fee cost per
person. Its important to sign up and make a commitment so we have a
full bus load. I like driving and planning trips & hope to go to
the Hill for lunch & shopping, the Greek Festival, Soulard Market &
other places this summer. |

Please
remember that the golf course cart path is not to be used for
walking during the hours the golf course is open. At this time of
year that is Tuesday - Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. This is a
mandate from the HHR Association insurance carrier, and is for your
own protection.
AND
Only licensed drivers 16 years
and older may drive a golf cart. This also means kids shouldn’t be
sitting on your lap steering the cart.
This is a rule and is for the safety of everyone. |

Highlights
TAI
CHI
The Tai Chi class took advantage of a lovely Spring day and moved their
group out to the pool deck to enjoy the sunshine. Won’t be long now
before the pool is open & more fun begins!
ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW - 2008
On April 26th we held our 4th Arts & Crafts Show. In addition to several
resident artists exhibiting, we had a display from the Wood Working Club,
and a table of plants for sale from the Garden Club. Originally we began
with an art show and two years ago expanded it to an arts and crafts
show. Hundreds of visitors came to the show to view and make purchases
from the 30 vendors, artists, and exhibitors. In addition to selling live
plants the Heritage of Hawk Ridge Garden Club sold raffle tickets for
live plants. The HHR Wood Working club had the beautiful new podium on
display as well as the plans for their current project, a new pool
cue/ball rack which is sure to be another work of art.
