There will be no pinochle in December, but it will resume in January on the 19th at 1:00 pm

Mary Balestri receives a coupon good for 2 free admissions to any clubhouse dinner or party from Activities Director Stu Cassell. It was a prize awarded to the first person who bowled two strikes in a row during the November 4th bowling and lunch outing. After the bowlers finished 2 games they went to the Pasta House for a delicious lunch. (see other picture inside this newsletter).

Delores Behrens, Mary Balestri, & Pat Goddard enjoy free coffee and donuts at the November 5th Donut Social. It was an excellent fun way to visit with neighbors, while sampling an assortment of tasty donuts from Krispy Kreme and Schnucks. During Winter we shall run Donut/Bagel Socials each and every month.

Don Roberts, Roger Richert, John Hunt, Mary Balestri, and Laverne Meyer get ready to enjoy lunch at the Pasta House following their bowling outing on November 4th.

Another great free activity here at Heritage of Hawk Ridge - Karaoke! Above: Chris Cristea. Below: Larry Knopfel, Judy Koehr, Steph Hempel, & Bob Bell. With over 1700 songs to choose from everyone could find something to sing. Our next Karaoke will be in January.

"Our Survey Says"

John Hunt, Tony Russom, Vita Cairns,
Carol Richert, and Barbara Hunt

were one family

Roger Richert, Jeanne Brown, Laverne Meyer,
Maryilyn Milewski, and Gary McCullough

formed the second family

We played “Family Feud” on Sunday November 7th. The game was played with a computer that Activities Director Stu Cassell built, with a special capture card that allows him to connect it to the 61 inch large screen tv. Using a computer game, the contestants answered questions put to them by host Louie Anderson and competed for prizes. Mary Rose Cassell worked the key board and typed in their answers. In an earlier round Don Roberts (seen above in the background) and Jerry Brown also competed. Everyone who participated in this fun free event went home with a prize.

Carol Knopfel and Ray Markham survey the array of pizzas that were served at the Wacky Golf Movie party on November 13th. Residents had their choice of meat pizzas or veggie pizzas.
Barbara Hunt and Pat Roberts select some veggie pizza. In addition to the free pizza, we served desserts from Schnuck’s, Sam’s, and the Ameristar Diner bakery.
Carol Knopfel, Judy Markham, and Larry Knopfel check out the desserts - so many yummy treats!
Residents are seen watching and listening to the musical stylings of our singers during Karaoke Night on Nov. 20th.

Ladies Nite Out

Having fun are Marie Guariglia, Janet Cattau, & Jean Ann Reider.

Lynn Rogers & Sandy Aubuchon.

45 attended the Ladies Nite Out, and there were 14 vendors, outstanding food, and mystery guest Leah. Thanks to Jeanne Brown’s musical talents and vocalist Barb Hunt. The skit performed by Golden Girls X2 was introduced by our excellent M.C. and comedian Judy Koehr. The medley routine had many laughs and tears. It was presented by Sandy Aubuchon, Shirley Barnes, Janet Cook, Carolyn Green, Stephanie Hempel and director Lynn Rogers. Charades, popcorn and a movie were enjoyed by the over-niters.

Many thanks to all who contributed.
Lynn Rogers
