"IS IT A BIRD? IS IT A PLANE?
NO, IT'S NANCY WITHEY & LOUIE LOBSTER!"

Ray & Nancy Withey were brave enough to offer to put on another Lobster Dinner for their fellow residents at Heritage of Hawk Ridge. There were 3 different boiling stations busily preparing fresh Maine lobster and corn on the cob for 74 people! Annie Pick, Ellen O’Coin, Pat Goddard, & Pat Roberts helped with procuring and preparing food and decorating. Our thanks to everyone else who helped with the serving and clean up after the party. After dinner the Cameo Queens sang and danced, and were followed by Second Avenue, an a capella quartet comprised of members of the Ambassadors of Harmony and St. Louis Harmony Chorus.
It was a delicious and fun evening.

BOOKS!

The books in our Business Center Library are available for residents to borrow and take home, just as long as you return them when you are finished reading them. Our library consists of donations from resident. We also have over 50 current DVD’s that can be borrowed 2 at a time for 2 days at no charge.

  • 2 3/4 cup half & half (I used milk)
  • 2 (4 serving size) boxes sugarless instant vanilla pudding

The Lord Giveth & the Lord Taketh

Tim Ostermeyer is seen here on the left entertaining us with songs and jokes at the May 8th Blue Jean Concert.

This was Tim’s second time performing at HHR, and he is one of the most popular entertainers we’ve had out here. Not only is he a talented musician with an incredible repertoire, but he’s extremely funny. The bad news for us is that this was Tim’s last performance anywhere. He informed the audience that after the show he is retiring to go into the ministry. We are sorry to lose this wonderful entertainer but wish him well in his new pursuit.
