Andree Wayman
Accused of MURDER!

A table full of Heritage of Hawk Ridge residents sat stunned as the Inspector proved beyond a “shadow of a doubt”  that our very own Andree Wayman was the murderer during the mystery dinner we attended at the Lemp Mansion.  The food was great and there were plenty of laughs.

"Chick Magnet”
Jim Singleton is
at it again!

Is it his glib patter? His after shave?  Or just that “teddy bear” persona he exudes? Who knows?  What ever it may be, Jim Singleton’s got his “mojo“ working for him because of all the men at HHR he seems to end up with the most females in his lap! Here he is seen with one of the actresses at the Lemp Mansion murder mystery dinner as his wife Karen looks on at her stud hubby.  Is that a ghost in the mirror above them?

From Stu's Desk or somewhere near it!

I am happy to say that on November 30th Courtney Haines joined the staff as my new assistant. Courtney is originally from Silex, Missouri and is a sophomore who’s area of interest is Special Education. She was a St. Louis Post Dispatch Scholar Athlete and a National Honor Society member/officer. She has distinguished herself both academically and athletically, winning awards for basketball and softball. I think she will be a great addition to our program and I look forward to working with her.

Initially, Courtney will be scheduled on days while I’m in the office, and then after she’s trained she may work at least one of the days that I’m off. She will be helping me approximately 20 hours a week, and this will give me more time to do a few things I’ve put on the back burner up until now.

KUDOS TO RECENT LUNCHEON CREW
We want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Carol Richert who headed up and came up with the idea for the potluck luncheon held recently at the clubhouse. Everyone enjoyed the day, including the pre-luncheon craft hour, where the ladies decorated balls for the Christmas tree. Thanks also to Janet Cattau for the beautiful centerpiece and to our shoppers Pat Goddard and Annie Pick.

Golfing News

There’s nothing more relaxing
than a fun round of golf.

There were many beautiful days for golf in November

Above left: Dave Williams watches Paul Stedman putt on the 4th hole. When the guys got ready to tee off on 6, that little fellow on the right was spotted sunning himself. The snake was about 3 feet long and Dave moved closer to try to identify it. Everyone was relieved to hear Dave pronounce it “non-poisonous” until they remembered that Dave’s vision is less than perfect - but it was non-poisonous.

Mike Cook had one of the pivotal roles at the Lemp Mansion murder mystery dinner. Lots of women approached him with lots of questions. He was really funny - if he didn’t have an answer he made one up and they believed him!

Marlene Hughes listens as Diane Rabe explains how to use the various equipment in the exercise room. 10 other residents attended this free class which we offer every few months so new residents can learn the proper use of the equipment.

Dave Williams and Lynda Schwartz work on their water color paintings in the Mixed Media class taught by Virginia Dragschultz. Students are also able to work on clay sculpture as well in this fun class.

John Fairhurst joins one of the dancers at “My Big Fat Greek Dinner Party” for a quick belly dancing lesson. Below Janet Cattau also learns how to “shake that thang”. The two belly dancers performed for an hour after we feasted on beef-ka-bob, chicken-ka-bob, mousaka, pastichio, dolmades, green beans, greek salad, bread and baklava - all catered from Spiro’s. This was one of our largest dinner parties.
