Stu!From Stu’s Desk or somewhere near it

This past month as we launched our first full month of scheduled activities in our beautiful new clubhouse, I enjoyed watching new friendships begin. The houses out here are beautiful and the amenities beyond compare, but as the Activities Director what impresses me the most are the spirit and quality of our population.

I have worked in property management, recreation, and professional entertainment for the past 20 years here in St. Louis, in Detroit, and in Los Angeles, and I can honestly say I have never met a more caring and fun group of people - any age!

We held a Mother’s Day Ice Cream Social and had 52 grandparents, parents, and kids. It’s obvious that our residents take pride in their clubhouse because after the party I noted that every single game that had been used was neatly returned to where it was found, there were no spills or stains anywhere, and nothing was damaged.

Virtually, every room of the clubhouse was in use at one time, and at the end of the day, you couldn’t tell we had a party. Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has helped Mary Rose and me with cleanups after the parties and events. We don’t take it for granted and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
