Bridge Clubs FormingBRIDGE CLUBS FORMING

Players are wanted to form a Ladies Daytime Bridge Club, a Couples
Daytime Bridge Club, and a Couples Evening Bridge Club. Anyone interested in joining one or all of these groups should call either Andree Wayman at 636-625-2225 or Jeanette Hage at 636-625-0655. These groups will be meeting and playing in the card/game room of the clubhouse at mutually convenient times. Don’t be shy! Meet your new neighbors, have some fun! You can also sign up in the exercise room.

Men’s Poker Club?

A few of the residents have been talking about starting a men’s poker club to get together at the clubhouse for friendly weekly games. If this interests you, stop by and sign up on the CARDS sheet in the exercise room, indicating the game you want to play (POKER) and the times you’re available. When we get 4 or more players we can hold a brief meeting and pick a day or evening for the games.

Do you have a SPECIAL INTEREST?

Want to get a club or group started? Just contact Stu and we’ll publicize it and help you get it going. Right now there are plenty of times during the day and evenings available for additional activities.

Quick Reminder

All exterior changes and additions must be approved in writing, including Satellite Dishes. Please note: The proper placement of the Satellite Dish is on the roof in the back of the house where it’s not visible from the street. If you need an Architectural Control Committee (ARC) Application or have any questions ask Stu.

"U"

Missing “U” Found!

Our April newsletter was published before we realized that the second “U” in Huguette Duff’s name was missing! Subsequently, the “U” was discovered hiding behind a plant in Stu’s office. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Resident Information

Each new resident should receive an interest survey and personal information questionnaire. These forms are what we use to plan our activities and events, and to find out things about you such as your birthday, anniversary and move-in dates. If you don’t see your special dates in the newsletter it probably means we don’t have your completed forms. If you didn’t get one, contact Stu at the Clubhouse.

Stu!From Stu’s Desk or somewhere near it

Last month I moved from my temporary quarters in the Welcome Home Center to my permanent home in the Clubhouse. As the word got out, I began to see residents using the exercise equipment as well as the computers in the Business Center. We had our first movie night, featuring the “unusual” David Lynch film, “Mulholland Drive” and enjoyed freshly made popcorn, pretzels, soda and confusion - that was one weird puppy of a film! This month I am trying to get into the Guiness Book of Records in the category of “Most Monthly Activities Scheduled by a Short Bald Bearded Activities Director”. I think I have a good shot at it with 6 different classes starting, plus all the weekend parties, etc. You will notice that I have printed some notices that I ran in prior newsletters – this is mostly for the new residents who may not have seen my original notices. Also note that beginning in May, I will try to record each week’s activity highlights on our “Hotline” which is 636-625-6645. Please don’t try to leave a message for me on this phone line since I don’t ever check it. Use the main number: 636-561-7895 to contact me or to leave me messages.

Watch for a SPECIAL BULLETIN!

Sometime within the next week or two we will have our electronic card entry system in place and a notice will be circulated directing you to stop by the clubhouse to register for your entry card, pool pass, and vehicle ID stickers.

We Now Have BLOCK CAPTAINS!

We would like to thank Annie Pick on Seahawk Dr., Karen Singleton on Toucan Dr., and Andree Wayman on Hawks Landing Dr. for becoming Block Captains and helping us distribute the newsletters and the special events bulletins. Heads up Pigeon Dr - we’ll be looking for a block captain there next.

LIBRARY STILL SEEKING DONATIONS

As you can see in the picture above, we have received several donations from residents, but we could use a few more. If you have hardback or paperback books you no longer need, why not bring them to the clubhouse business center for your neighbors to enjoy? Thanks!
